The Teen Titans help Sammy Soul find his uncle in South America

Four years after the debut of Wonder Girl, writer Marv Wolfman and artist Gil Kane disclosed her origins. They revealed that she was seemingly an orphaned infant whom Wonder Woman rescued from an apartment building fire. Raised on Paradise Island as Queen Hippolyta's foster daughter, she was given powers identical to Wonder Woman by scientist Paula Von Gunther's healing device, the Purple Ray. After the Amazons relocated to another dimension, Wonder Girl took the name Donna Troy and moved into a New York apartment. She also gave herself a new hairstyle and costume, both of which she would wear for the next 20 years.
